The most popular position in fashion sketching is the walking position. In this lesson we'll learn the algorithms and practice the most basic version, which you'll always be able to draw easily and correctly
The bent leg
Drawing the thigh
Remember: the bent knee is always lower (it paralell to the hip tilt)), it touches the balance line from the side
Note: the space between legs has a triangle shape.
Let's draw the upper part of the leg together 1. Define the level of the knee 2. Draw the knee, the bottom of the knee looks like a chin. 3. Outline the muscles
Drawing the calf together
1. First mark the 2 guide lines: one - at the level of the ankle, and the other - at the half of the calf. Draw the ankle which lies on this line
2. Divide the distance between the knee and the ankle in half and again in half. Mark the upper quarter
3. Draw a centre line from the ankle to the knee I draw the shape of the calf. It first extends to the line we drew and then narrows
4. The hind foot is drawn in the same way as the standing foot
Assignment 1. Take the drawn figure from the last lesson and finish drawing a basic version of the back leg. Focus on the auxiliary lines 👇
Hands
Drawing the basic straight arm position
For simplicity, we will draw elbows at waist level and wrists at hip level
The arms will not be perfectly straight in a straight position. They are always gently bent at the elbows
Notice. The shoulder is neatly shaped and immediately goes diagonally downward. Do NOT exaggerate it.
The inner part of the arm is attached somewhere at the level of the middle of the breast (nipples)
Steps
1. First draw guide lines at the level of the pelvis and waist. I draw the directions of the arms. They are slightly bent
