FASHION SKETCHING COURSE
"Human" figures
In this tutorial I will show how to give the figure a more human look, not so fashion model-like
  • Today's method will again be quite simple. The method is to enlarge the whole body evenly along the shape
Base
  • Back to our base again. This time we're expanding the waist. This is our new base
  • 1. Size М
So, widen the waist a little bit. Then we're going to complete the body as usual
  • 2. Size L
Widen the waist even more. Finish the body as usual
  • In such a large figure, the width of the clavicle can be equal to the width of the head
  • So here's the grading we got
Breasts
  • The larger the figure, the bigger the breasts. How to make them proportional to the figure?
    1. Find the centre of the chest (divide this distance in half)
  • 2. Put off to each side the same (small) distance. (since there is some distance between the breasts)
  • 3. Draw the same segment vertically so that you get a circle
  • 4. Incline this vertical line and draw the ovals

When breasts are large, they sag under the gravity of their own weight (slightly sloping diagonally)
  • 5. Outline the bottom edge of the breast and armpit (and erase the rest)
  • Watch me draw the breast again from start to finish👇🏼
  • Practice
Try to draw a static figure of size M or L. Note that all joints will be proportionally larger than in the usual fashion figures
How do we visualise these figures in a pose?
  • Let's remember our base for the poses
  • Here we draw as usual, but we extend the waist to the sides. You can see these coloured triangles forming
  • Let's practice the bodies together
  • 1. Size М
Extend the shoulders quite a bit. Connect the breasts to the crotch. Widen the waist. Draw symmetrical hips
  • 2. Size L
Extend the shoulders even more. The rest is pretty much the same as usual.
  • Practice
